Martin Bird (Year Elected - 2008) - Deceased

Martin had no pretensions as a player and, indeed, never played in the County League.  He umpired in it for a number of years but will be chiefly remembered as the League Panel’s very efficient and conscientious cry-offs man for a number of years, taking over from Ray Wallis and giving way to Bob Edmonds. 

In his leisure time Martin was an enthusiastic glider pilot.
