Laurie Allan (Year Elected - 2022)
Laurie was the first bowler to take 1,000 wickets (all league XIs) in the League’s history. In all he played in six League winning sides at Richmond CC – his only club since moving down from Oswestry. When his playing days came to an end he became a member of the League Umpires’ Panel
Laurie gave up playing too late to be able to move far up the cricket umpiring ladder with just one Bertie Joel Cup Final to show for his efforts, but he achieved far greater success on the hockey field where he officiated in several National Club finals.
He stood very successfully and efficiently as League Treasurer for seven years, over seeing the league's continued rude financial health.
