Brian Reid (Year Elected - 2003) - Deceased

Brian Reid was undoubtedly one of the finest bowlers to ever play in the MCCL’.  He was at his physical peak when the league started in 1971, and continued to play at an extremely high level in the league for the next 20 odd years, very rarely missing a game.  He bowled a mixture of fast and, progressively, medium and slow-medium pace.  He played regularly for the Club Cricket Conference culminating in their first tour to Australia in 1971.

In his Brentham career, in all cricket, he took over 2,200 wickets, a significant number in the league.  If league records existed for that era his name would certainly have been plastered all over them.

His company, Southdown, generously sponsored the League for several years in the late 1980s and early 90s.
