Bob Peach (Year Elected - 2015)

R.A. (Bob) Peach was one of the original organisers who, in 1969, conceived the principle of the Middlesex County Cricket League. Bob and others were responsible for short listing the original 12 clubs of suitable playing strength that was the basis of the early MCCL. Bob was closely involved with drafting the original league constitution which was so successful that the points system for the league remained unchanged until 2016.

A right-handed batsman and medium-fast bowler, he joined South Hampstead CC in 1960 having represented the Army, Combined Services and having played several matches for Middlesex CCC second team. He was first eleven captain of South Hampstead CC from 1961-1968 and in his last year as captain saw South Hampstead lose the first ever Middlesex Cup final (held at Lord’s) to Hornsey. Bob also represented the Club Cricket Conference and was awarded his cap in 1965.
