Graham Pauncefort (2003) - Deceased

When the league committee decided the league needed a League President the choice was a simple one with only one possible choice.  Graham, long-time captain of Stanmore CC, had held League positions almost from the outset: Treasurer from 1973-84, Chairman 1984-99 and President from 2003 until his sad passing on December 31st 2021.

When he accepted the nomination as President, he pointed out that, when he was appointed Chairman in 1984, the Constitution allowed that an incumbent was only permitted a single term of 5 years; Graham was fifteen years into his five year term when he stood down so, if anybody was expecting him to go quietly, they were in for a shock!

In his playing career he captained Stanmore to the 1983 League championship as well as two Middlesex Cup finals.  He represented the MCC for many years and served on the Club Cricket Conference Council for several years and was awarded an Honorary Vice-Presidency when he stood down.
